The Sunshine Academy is a parent-owned childcare and early learning center serving families in Laurel and Billings, Montana, caring for children from six weeks through age twelve since 2004. But what parents remember about us isn't the year we opened, it's the feeling of dropping their child off and knowing, all the way to their desk, that their child is safe, seen, and loved.
We're run by parents and led by a certified Parenting Coach, so we understand the parts nobody talks about: the morning meltdown, the mental load of a working week, the 2 a.m. worry. We built the school we wanted for our own kids, steady routines, real hands-on learning, almost no screens, and teachers who know your child by name.

Owner Sara Schreiner is a certified Parenting Coach, when you join, you get a village, not just a drop-off.

Under 5% screen time, some programs entirely screen-free. Days are built around building, reading, creating, moving, and playing together.

Children are known by name by a consistent Lead Teacher, with daily updates through our parent app.
